The 17 strong cast were all 2nd Year BA Acting students at the University of Northampton and their work on The Trial was part of the Working with a Professional Director Module.

The focus of the module was to develop experience of professional theatre practice where the actors had to go through a professional audition process and attend a 3-week rehearsal period with Alias Theatre's Artistic Director, Trudy A Bell, before performing in the Underground Studio space at the Royal & Derngate Theatre, Northampton.

This was a fantastic experience for actors and director alike with performances receiving standing ovations from packed audiences, and it is the intention that Alias Theatre will continue to work with the University of Northampton in the future.
