The Trial is a challenging play that requires immense physical stamina, an ability to play 'grotesque' and apply clowning methods, in addition to really exploring the dramatic intensity of each characters' own story. The actors need to be able to work as a true ensemble with chorus roles, ensemble physical sequences and choral speaking and singing - not to mention moving 16 large frames around the stage to create different shapes and settings.
